Our terms are designed to keep every booking simple, transparent and enjoyable. From reservations and payments to vehicle care and cancellations, we clearly outline what you can expect when hiring a Retro Ride.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE

Booking Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit of the quoted hire price is required to confirm your booking.
Outstanding Balance
The outstanding balance is to be paid 2 weeks prior to your event.
Minimum Hire Period
In the case of special occasions, the price is calculated at a minimum of 2 hours hire.
Additional Hire Time
For all bookings, a charge of $50 per 15 minutes per car is incurred if the duration of the hire exceeds the pre-paid booking.
Cancellations & Postponements
Cancellations need to be in writing via email to info@retroridesgoldcoast.com.au. The deposit will be forfeited if cancelled within 2 weeks of hire. However, if your event is postponed for any reason, we will hold your deposit if you confirm another available date within 6 months of your initial date.
Vehicle Inspections & Planning Meetings
Vehicle inspections and event planning meetings are by appointment.
Wedding Decorations
For weddings, our vehicles will be decorated with a white ribbon. Other colours or additional props can be supplied by or at the cost of the hirer.
Smoking
Our vehicles are strictly non-smoking.
Intoxicated Passengers
Intoxicated passengers may be refused transportation.
Liability Claims
Liability claims are limited to the total monies paid by the client.
Vehicle Availability
Our vehicles are regularly and thoroughly maintained by qualified tradesmen to provide a reliable service. However, should the requested vehicle be unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control or any other cause whatsoever, a replacement vehicle as close as possible to the booked vehicle will be dispatched depending on timing and availability.
Consequential Loss
No liability for any consequential loss beyond our control will be accepted by Retro Rides Gold Coast.
Vehicle Access
No responsibility will be accepted for restrictions relating to vehicle access at any location.
Unsuitable Surfaces
Our vehicles will not be driven onto any surface which the driver considers unsuitable.
Passenger Responsibility & Damage
The hirer is responsible for all passengers, and any damage or cleaning fees will be charged to the hirer.
Delays & Passenger Conduct
Should the client or passengers cause excessive delays, are disorderly or, in the driver’s judgment, are unfit to travel, the driver may terminate the booking and any fees paid will be forfeited.
Deadlines & Personal Belongings
We endeavour to meet all deadlines and accept NO responsibility for any delays or theft or damage of any item belonging to the passengers travelling in our vehicles. Passengers leaving possessions or items in the vehicle do so at their own risk.
Service Area & Travel Surcharges
Prices quoted are for Gold Coast City and Gold Coast Hinterland areas only. A surcharge will apply for travel outside of this region.
Children Under 7
Children under the age of 7 can only travel in our Electric VW Kombi as our other vehicles have no child seat anchor points.
